Vintage 8-card Red Man Chewing Tobacco baseball lot dating from 1953, 1954 and 1955, including several well-known stars of the era. Cards included: 1953 Red Man Dom DiMaggio – Boston Red Sox 1954 Red Man Richie Ashburn – Philadelphia Phillies Ferris Fain – Chicago White Sox Gil Coan – Washington Senators Bob Porterfield – Washington Senators Al Rosen – Cleveland Indians – original tab intact Sherman Lollar – Chicago White Sox – original tab intact 1955 Red Man Joe Coleman – Baltimore Orioles – original tab intact A particularly nice feature of this group is that three cards retain their original Red Man redemption tabs along the bottom: Rosen, Lollar and Coleman. The tabs were designed to be cut off and saved toward the Red Man Big League Style baseball cap offer, so many surviving cards no longer have them. Cards are ungraded and show varying degrees of age, corner/edge wear and handling consistent with vintage oversized tobacco cards. PLEASE NOTE: The Dom DiMaggio has a noticeable vertical crease through the upper portion of the card. It has been specifically photographed close-up so the buyer can clearly evaluate it. The remaining cards present nicely overall with strong, colorful player portraits. Backs show expected age/toning and handling.
