Scarce vintage Milani’s “Charcōl-It in the Broiler” seasoning tin manufactured by Louis Milani Foods Inc., Los Angeles and Chicago. Copyright 1949. This 4-ounce tin advertised a seasoning rub intended to add charcoal-broiled flavor to steaks, hamburgers and roasts. Features bright yellow, red and green lithographed graphics with a chef mascot, automobile and charming mid-century neighborhood scenes. Includes its original rotating dispenser top. Marked “Canco” and “Patent Applied For.”
