Vintage Zuni Turquoise Fetish 3-Strand Necklace & Earrings – RG Sterling – 28” Exceptional vintage three-strand turquoise fetish necklace with matching long drop earrings, signed RG STERLING. The impressive 28-inch necklace features three strands of turquoise heishi-style beads populated with dozens of individually carved animal and bird fetishes. Bears, birds, fish, turtles and other forms appear throughout the necklace, culminating in a beautiful large open-wing bird at the center. The turquoise displays wonderful natural variation and matrix, giving every carving its own character. Finished with sterling silver cone ends, extension chain and hook closure. One cone is clearly stamped RG / STERLING. The RG hallmark has been associated with Zuni artist Raymond Gasper/Gaspar; attribution is presented conservatively pending definitive hallmark documentation.
