Charming vintage ceramic covered cheese dish featuring two whimsical gray mice playing atop a wheel of cheese, complete with a tiny mouse tail peeking from the top. The removable cheese-shaped cover rests on a matching handled serving plate. Finished in warm yellow glaze with raised "Swiss cheese" circles and crazed glaze throughout. The mice have hand-painted gray, pink and brown details. A wonderfully kitschy vintage kitchen piece perfect for serving cheese, displaying on a kitchen shelf, or adding to a collection of retro mouse decor. Good vintage condition.
