Absolutely stunning late 1960s–early 1970s Pōmare Tahiti Hawaiian hostess gown, authentically labeled Honolulu, Hawaii. Features a bold Polynesian/tapa-inspired floral print in rich chocolate brown, olive green, burnt orange, golden yellow and ivory an incredible tropical palette that transitions beautifully into fall. Designed with a square neckline, fitted empire bodice, dramatic angel sleeves, flowing A-line silhouette and long back zipper. The textured, barkcloth-style woven fabric gives the print wonderful depth and structure. Fabric content is unknown because no care tag is present. No holes, stains or noted flaws, exceptional mint vintage condition. Approximate flat measurements: • Pit to pit: 17” • Empire/underbust: 16” • Waist area: approximately 20” and flares outward • Hips: approximately 24” • Length: 53” Best estimated for a modern small, depending on desired fit.
