Vintage 1935 Edwin M. Knowles China Co. semi-vitreous decorative plate featuring a beautiful floral bouquet, deep red/orange border and elaborate 22K gold scrollwork. The inner border is also accented with delicate gold detailing. The back is marked SEMI VITREOUS / EDWIN M. KNOWLES CHINA CO. / MADE IN U.S.A. / 35-5, along with 22 Karat Gold / Made in America. The 35-5 date code is consistent with May 1935. Knowles produced many decorative and tableware patterns during this period, and 22K gold decoration was commonly used on its vintage pieces. 15in diamater.
