I purchased this stunning statement piece in an estate vintage jewelry lot. An extraordinary vintage statement piece showcasing intricate, multi-tiered craftsmanship. Designed with dual woven gold-tone mesh bands inset with sparkly rhinestone cup chains, this choker-style collar flows into a dramatic festooned rhinestone drape. The center knot focal features cascading rhinestone strands, flanked by dangling openwork, textured marquise/navette leaf charms that add rich movement and light reflection. ​Although unsigned, the elaborate layering, textured metal finishes, and overall weight echo the opulent mid-century designs of couture makers like Hobé and Weiss.
