This is a charming vintage RELCO Japan porcelain demitasse cup and saucer set. The original foil labels visible on both pieces read “RELCO – Hand Decorated – Japan,” which is especially nice to have intact. The petite footed cup features rich magenta-pink roses with deep green foliage against white porcelain. Its unusual angular handle is accented in gold, while additional gold detailing frames the rim and base. The cup rests on three tiny feet, giving the piece an especially delicate, decorative profile. The coordinating saucer is a standout on its own, with matching rose decoration surrounded by an ornate pierced lattice border. A sculpted, irregular edge finished with gold accents adds even more texture and visual interest. Together, the pierced porcelain, floral decoration, petite proportions, and generous gilding give this set a wonderfully romantic mid-century vintage look.
