Antique hand-operated rug tufting/carpet making tool featuring a black handle, metal body, adjustable side lever, and needle mechanism. This appears to be an early manual textile tool used for rug or carpet work. It has a great primitive industrial look and would make an interesting addition to a collection of antique sewing, textile, rug-making, or occupational tools. Condition: Pre-owned antique condition with age-related wear, surface oxidation, discoloration, scratches, and patina throughout. Handle shows wear from use and age. Moving components are present, but the tool has not been tested for actual rug-making use. No maker's name is readily visible.
