Features the Class of 1948 senior portrait of John Ward, future legendary “Voice of the Vols” for University of Tennessee football and basketball. Ward is identified as First Lt., Company C and also appears in the ROTC section. Includes senior portraits, athletics, football, ROTC, clubs, student activities, period Knoxville advertising and numerous handwritten autographs. Outstanding Knoxville and Tennessee Volunteers sports history collectible. Blue hardcover has rubbing, edge and corner wear, scuffs and surface marks. Interior pages show toning, foxing/spotting, scattered handwriting and numerous original student signatures and inscriptions.
