Unusual vintage El Tesoro de Don Felipe tequila wooden bottle stopper featuring a recessed metal medallion with Don Felipe's portrait, “EL TESORO,” “1937,” and “DE DON FELIPE.” The stopper has a turned wooden body and fitted cork/plug section. The 1937 date commemorates the founding of La Alteña Distillery by Don Felipe Camarena. I have been unable to locate another example of this exact loose stopper, making it an interesting piece for El Tesoro, tequila, Mexican spirits and bottle-closure collectors.
