Striking vintage circa 1930s floral dress clip featuring an elaborate dimensional arrangement of individually applied metal flowers over an ornate pierced filigree foundation. The oval-shaped clip is densely covered with multiple styles and sizes of flowers, including a prominent layered central blossom, creating wonderful depth and texture. Small bright centers accent many of the flowers. The reverse is equally impressive, showing intricate openwork metal construction and a substantial hinged dress-clip mechanism with decorative stamped detailing. A beautiful surviving example of 1930s dress jewelry, designed to clip onto a dress neckline, lapel, scarf, hat or other garment.
