Vintage The Art of Chokin decorative collector plate, made in Japan. Features a beautifully detailed traditional Japanese woman/Geisha surrounded by cherry blossoms with Mount Fuji in the background. Black plate with ornate gold detailing and marked “24KT GOLD.” Created using the traditional Japanese Chokin style of metal engraving and gilding. The back states that Chokin engravings were originally used to decorate the armament of Samurai warriors. Approx. 6" diameter. Includes original display stand and original box. Box shows some storage/shelf wear; please see photos. Marked Made in Japan. Gold edged. For decorative purposes only – not for food use.
