DEVO's contribution to the 1981 animated cult film Heavy Metal includes their upbeat cover of Lee Dorsey's "Working in a Coal Mine" and the track "Through Being Cool". Despite not being a heavy metal band, their quirky new wave sound fit the sci-fi, dystopian vibe of the movie.
