Original Kingdom of Belgium Volunteer’s Medal, a Belgian military decoration associated with volunteer service. The medal features a striking bronze-tone design. The obverse depicts a male figure holding a sword, with rays and symbolic imagery in the background. The reverse displays the Belgian lion beneath the Latin inscription “VOLUNTARIIS.” It is suspended from its distinctive red and dark blue vertically striped ribbon with pin-back mounting hardware.
