Here is a hand forged iron hearth ladle measuring approximately 15.5 inches long with a 4 inch diameter bowl. This primitive cooking tool was designed for open-hearth or campfire cooking, commonly used in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The ladle features a long forged handle with a hooked end so it could be hung on a fireplace rack, kettle hook, or cooking tripod.
