This antique double inkwell set features an ornate brass standish decorated with intricate scrollwork, floral motifs, and detailed borders. The structure houses two matching inkwells equipped with hinged lids that open to reveal separate compartments. Included are two removable clear glass reservoir inserts designed to hold liquid ink. The brass surfaces display a darkened, authentic patina from age, with natural verdigris coloration visible inside the wells and across the lower crevices of the relief patterns. Condition: Antique condition. The brass structure is structurally sound with an aged patina and minor surface wear. The interior wells show dark ink staining and oxidation consistent with historical use. One removable clear glass insert has a small chip along its top rim; the second glass insert remains free of major chips.
