Pictured is an antique Whiting & Davis sterling silver mesh finger-ring purse with an engraved frame and wrist strap. Design: Fine silver mesh with an engraved floral frame and amber-colored cabochon accent Mark: WHITING & DAVIS CO. and STERLING The hinged frame opens to reveal the flexible mesh interior. The attached multi-strand wrist strap has an engraved slide fitting. Pre-owned antique condition with dark patina, tarnish and surface wear. Portions of the strap are bent, and the strap has fraying/loose strands near the fitting. There is an approximately 2 mm opening in the mesh near one lower corner.
