A beautiful piece of mid-century history: a vintage hand-painted porcelain finger-handle dish imported by Rossetti Chicago. This elegant piece features a vibrant, centrally placed hand-painted floral bloom resembling a pink and white peony or camellia, surrounded by soft green and autumn-gold leaves. The scalloped edges are adorned with detailed gold gilt accents.Designed with a built-in porcelain finger loop handle, this style was traditionally used as a lemon plate for formal tea service but makes an excellent candy dish, nut tray, or decorative vanity piece. The reverse side features the distinct, authentic crown logo reading "Rossetti Chicago U.S.A. Hand Painted MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN." This mark places its production strictly between the historic years of 1945 and 1952.
