The base features the rare, prominent embossed phrasing: “LOANED BY / MADE IN USA / A.R. WINARICK, INC.” In the mid-1900s, Winarick distributed these proprietary bottles filled with their signature hair tonics and scalp rubs exclusively to commercial barber shops. Because the bottles legally remained the property of the manufacturer to be returned for refilling, finding one today with clean, crisp bottom embossing is a treat for collectors.
