Product Details
A compact and practical way to own fine silver. This clear screw-top vial contains approximately 1.04 troy ounces of .999 fine silver shot, equal to approximately 32.35 grams of pure silver. Unlike a decorative silver piece, silver shot is a usable raw material. Jewelers and silversmiths commonly work with fine silver shot for melting, alloying, casting, repairs, and creating new jewelry. Because sterling silver is 92.5% silver, this fine silver may also be combined with the appropriate alloying metals to produce sterling-silver stock. Some independent jewelers may be willing to accept verified fine silver as material toward custom work, repairs, or payment for sterling-silver jewelry. Acceptance and valuation will depend on the jeweler’s individual policies, testing requirements, refining costs, and the current silver value. A distinctive collectible that also represents genuine, usable precious-metal stock rather than simply a decorative display item. --- Display stand is shown for presentation purposes and is not included. Silver should be independently tested before being accepted for trade, payment, or manufacturing use.
