Gold tone clip on earrings, interesting clip on these ones - they're marked "Pat. 3483715" which is a friction grip earring clamp, invented by Phillip E. Kettell, filed September of 1968, for E. A. Adams & Son Inc. in Rhode Island. These were only used on earrings from the very late 1960’s and I to the 1970’s. These earrings kind of remind me of a jellyfish. The top portion is an upside-down bowl shape with a bead cap inverted inside the bottom. From the bead cap four chains (that look like tiny paperclips?) hang down, each with a gold tone teardrop bead at the bottom. I love these earrings. I'm tempted to keep them but I don't wear clip-ons.
