Product Details

Rare vintage men’s jewellery box, likely dating to the mid-20th century, with a brown textured leatherette exterior and distinctive gold Roman knight or centurion helmet emblem. The fitted interior has a brown ribbed fabric lining, five small divided compartments for cufflinks, rings or tie accessories, a larger open compartment, and a storage pocket inside the lid. The matching helmet emblem appears on both the exterior and interior pocket. This appears to be an exceptionally uncommon design with this logo. I have located only one other apparent example in collector discussion and have not found another currently listed or recorded sold example. Very good vintage condition with light age-related wear. Please review photos carefully. The helmet motif resembles imagery associated with some mid-century men’s accessory lines, but the maker is unconfirmed. Era: Approximately 1950s–1960s Style: Men’s dresser or jewellery box

About the Seller
🇨🇦 Vintage jewelry, silk scarves, patterns, textiles & small vintage treasures I like things with a bit of history, discovery, and usefulness to them. Good fabric, good lines, nice materials, odd details, and pieces that still feel worth bringing back out. For jewelry, scarves, and accessories, I tend to go for wearable vintage: silk scarves, earrings, brooches, small finds, and pieces that add a bit of sparkle, colour, or weird little charm to a regular day. For sewing, I like patterns and textiles: vintage and modern patterns, quilting cottons, craft fabrics, and apparel fabrics like silk, wool, linen, and cotton. Things for making, collecting, or just appreciating good design.
