These two steins were sold as a matched pair. The original 5,000 pairs were actually ordered by WEBCO in two lots. The first order, for 1,000 pairs, was placed in August of 1959, and the steins proved to be so popular that a follow-up order for 4,000 additional pairs was placed in November of that same year.
