This is one of the big chase dates from the vintage Libertad run — a 1995 Mexican Libertad 1 Onza .999 fine silver coin, featuring the classic Winged Victory / Angel of Independence design with the volcanoes in the background and the traditional Mexican eagle reverse. The 1995 Libertad is a major standout because it was the final year of the original 1982-style Libertad design, often called the early “gordita” style by collectors. It also carries a confirmed reported mintage of only 500,000 coins, making it much tougher than the high-mintage early 1980s dates and a must-have for serious Libertad date-run builders.
