Vintage hand painted folk pottery bowl in rustic terracotta redware with two lug handles. This charming primitive piece has a soft earthenware body with the natural reddish clay showing through at the rim and a hand painted design featuring a pink rose with green leaves in the center framed by blue banding stripes and a warm yellow band. The two side handles are decorated with cobalt blue floral splashes. The loose peasant style painting and worn glaze give it wonderful old world country character in the tradition of Continental European and Mexican folk pottery.
