This one is a great piece of upstate New York pharmacy ephemera! It’s a Victorian Calling Card / Calling-Card Style Business Card for Smith & Dalton, Druggists out of Syracuse, N.Y. It’s smaller than a standard trade card—roughly the size of a Victorian calling card, designed to fit right into a coat pocket or small scrapbook slot. Measures approximately 3.25” x 2” Item Overview & Condition: Merchant: Smith & Dalton, Druggists (29 West Fayette Street, Syracuse, N.Y.). Era: Circa 1880s. Front Art: Botanical Tiger Lily illustration over a scroll design set against a heavy metallic gold background. Condition: Front: Excellent visual pop with vibrant orange/green tones and sharp typography. Minor edge wear on the left. Back: Heavy album page paper adhesion/mounting layer covering most of the back. (No print visible on back; typical blank-back calling card style).
