Vintage handmade Mexican folk art crescent moon wall hanging featuring a whimsical dimensional face and colorful hand-painted decoration. The yellow crescent has applied facial features, floral cheek decoration and gray accents, surrounded by small hand-painted clay ornaments attached with wire. Made from terracotta/clay with an unglazed back and attached metal hanging loop. Measures approximately 7.5" across the moon, with additional width from the projecting decorations. Vintage pre-owned condition with age-related surface wear, paint loss, scuffs and handmade irregularities throughout. The wire elements show age and may be slightly bent.
