Product Details

An original French magazine advertisement dating to 1919–1921 for Ambre de Nubie, one of the signature fragrances from the Parisian perfume house Ramsès, located at 30, rue d’Hauteville, Paris. Executed in the dramatic Egyptian Revival style, the advertisement features a monumental perfume bottle in the form of an Egyptian figure, flanked by temple columns, incense burners, and ancient-inspired architecture. The bold typography and sophisticated design reflect the fascination with Egypt that captivated French decorative arts and luxury advertising during the early twentieth century. Similar Ramsès perfume advertisements appeared in French publications of the period, including La Vie Parisienne.
