An authentic 1920s Egyptian Revival table lamp crafted from cast metal, featuring a beautifully sculpted pair of cranes (or herons) standing among stylized papyrus and lotus motifs. The design reflects the wave of Egyptomania that swept the decorative arts following the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922. The lamp has an open cast construction, allowing the sculptural details to be appreciated from every angle. It retains a rich aged patina and displays beautifully as-is or could be restored with the correct period frosted glass shade.
