An elegant vintage decorative print reproducing one of the celebrated grotesque pilaster frescoes from the Loggie di Raffaello (Raphael’s Loggias) in the Vatican. The original Renaissance designs were created under the direction of Raphael (1483–1520) and later preserved through the renowned 18th-century engravings of Giovanni Ottaviani and Giovanni Volpato. The richly detailed vertical composition features classical urns, mythological figures, ornamental medallions, scrolling foliage, and Renaissance grotesque motifs inspired by the rediscovery of ancient Roman wall paintings.
