The 1986 Fleer Update Jose Canseco Rookie Card (#U-20) is one of the most iconic baseball rookie cards of the 1980s. Featuring Canseco in his Oakland Athletics uniform, this card was released in the limited Fleer Update set and is significantly tougher to find than standard 1986 Fleer cards. Canseco exploded onto the baseball scene as one of the game’s premier power hitters. He became the 1986 American League Rookie of the Year, the 1988 AL MVP, a 6-time All-Star, and the first player in MLB history to record a 40-home run/40-stolen base season (1988). Along with Mark McGwire, he formed the legendary “Bash Brothers” duo in Oakland.
