Product Details

Ken Morrison was a prominent designer of "haute couture" vintage costume jewelry, best known for his elaborate, high-fashion runway pieces from the 1980s. His work is characterized as "runway couture" and "museum quality," often featuring large, figural, and highly detailed designs. This cuff is BUTTERFLIES. I call it "The Butterfly Garden". Ken frequently used high-end components such as Swarovski crystals, Murano art glass beads, faux pearls, and gold-tone mesh. Some of his notable pieces include elaborate bumblebees with "trembler" mechanisms and large serpent/snake designs. Floral themes and "Garden of Eden" concepts are recurring. Pieces are considered extremely rare and highly collectible in the vintage market. I believe this cuff was custom made and is a one of a kind piece. A real museum worthy piece. This stunning bracelet is polished gold tone for the base, with the butterflies accented in blue, purple, and deep orange-red, and small smooth cabochons in a brighter orange. There are also decorative sculptural leaves. The cuff band measures 3" and the butterflies extends to 4.5" in places. The weight is a hefty 195g. This pieces is not to be missed. One of a kind
