Super RARE, impossible to find, and spectacularly gorgeous! That is what this FRENCH COUTURE MASTERPIECE necklace by Francoise Montague is.... such a treat! The French couturier Francoise Montague is featured in Florence Muller's book "Costume Jewelry for Haute Couture" on page 39, where you can see an almost identical necklace pictured. If you are familiar with this designer, you will immediately recognize the construction and use of the Swarovski crystal beads. Look at the glowing opalescent glass beads, and the intricate chain-work connecting everything together.... something that Francoise Montague did. Most of Francoise Montague designs were unmarked or unsigned accept for a paper hangtag. This heavy (220g)(not too heavy to wear though!) high quality piece will knock your socks off! Unmarked. Measures 15" wearable max. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No missing crystals from what I can tell. Minimal wear to the gold plate finish on the clasp. Please look closely at all the pictures. *** A girl is lucky enough to find one vintage Francoise Montague collarette in her lifetime, but this is now my second one!
