Devyn is my 22-year-old nephew. Last Thursday he collapsed at work after a severe headache, passed out, and aspirated. He was rushed to a Nashville ICU, on life support while doctors work around the clock to find out what's wrong. My family has faced this before. My sister Michelle lost her son Jared, Devyn's father, to swine flu when Devyn was a little guy. Now she watches her grandson fight the same fight. Devyn hasn't been alone once. His girlfriend Maddie and his mother Liz, a true warrior, have stayed by his side..along with other family members including my sister. He's only 22,into bodybuilding, and has worked hard at Walmart for 2 years since graduating. Good to his mother and madly in love with Maddy.
