This antique mid-19th-century blue and white transferware plate features the highly collectible "Moselle" pattern by John Alcock of Cobridge, England. Produced between 1849 and 1861, the piece showcases a romantic river landscape framed by a distinctive eight-sided octagonal scalloped rim with geometric and floral borders. The reverse bears the authentic underglaze blue printed maker's backstamp, making it an excellent addition to any classic Staffordshire ironstone collection. Crazed and staining (see photos)
