This piece was originally released as part of their highly collectible "Leaf" or "Trees of the Month" series, which included twelve distinct botanical designs. The brooch depicts three layered ivy leaves with pronounced raised veins, attached to a textured, curved brown branch featuring yellow roots at the base. It is constructed from a gold-plated or base metal alloy and hand-painted with shaded, variegated "cold enamel" (a type of pigmented epoxy resin popular in mid-century costume jewelry). Because they were hand-finished, color saturation and shading patterns vary slightly from piece to piece.
