Beautiful old solid brass utility scoop with incredible naturally aged patina. This substantial piece features a deep rounded scoop and integral handle, with the wonderfully worn surface you want in authentic primitive decor. This style of utility scoop was traditionally used for grain, flour, seed, feed and other bulk dry goods in general stores, farm settings and pantries. Form and construction appear consistent with late 19th to early 20th-century examples, although exact age and origin are unknown. Gorgeous untouched character throughout with verdigris, oxidation, dark spotting, scratches, discoloration and surface wear from age and use. It has not been polished—the original aged appearance has been preserved. Perfect for primitive, early American, mercantile, general store, farmhouse, English country or collected kitchen decor. Beautiful displayed with stoneware, old cutting boards, baskets or dried botanicals. Condition: Antique/vintage condition with substantial age-related
