Vintage UCAGCO hand-painted porcelain cherub vase made in Occupied Japan, circa 1947-1952. Beautiful sculptural design featuring a dimensional winged cherub seated among dramatic scrolling foliate forms. Decorated in white with rich purple/magenta accents, extensive gold trim, pale blue wings, and delicately hand-painted facial details. The elaborate asymmetrical vase features curled and flared openings, pierced scroll details, and a deep purple footed base. Marked UCAGCO China, Hand Painted, Made in Occupied Japan on the underside. Approximately 6 inches tall and 4½ inches wide. Inventory: POR72 Condition: Very good vintage condition. No obvious chips, cracks, or repairs observed. Age-related wear is present to portions of the gold trim, particularly along exposed edges. Please review photographs carefully for condition.
