A beautiful, authentic example of a 1940s vintage Pronto "Shock Resist" manual-wind wristwatch. This WWII-era Swiss timepiece features a classic military aesthetic and—best of all—is currently RUNNING and ticking smoothly. Brand: Pronto Watch Co. (Swiss Made, circa 1940s) Movement: Authentic 15-Jewel A. Schild (AS) family manual-wind caliber with early Incabloc shock protection. Dial: Gorgeous original matte cream/champagne dial with stylized open-shadow Arabic numerals, railway minute track, and 60-second subdial. Hands: Original luminous-filled "cathedral" syringe hands. Caseback: Original factory-etched steel caseback with inner engine-turned perlage and historic watchmaker service marks. As with all unserviced vintage watches, a routine clean/oil is recommended for daily precision. No water resistance. Sold as-is.
