Product Details
The 2 oz Elemetal Shipwreck Series - Batavia .999 Silver BU High Relief Round is the second release in Elemetal's four-part Shipwreck Series, following the Atocha. Struck from 2 troy ounces of .999 fine silver in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, this high-relief round commemorates the Dutch East India Company ship Batavia, which wrecked off the coast of Western Australia during its maiden voyage in 1629. The round draws inspiration from Dutch coinage of the period through its depiction of William of Orange and deliberately weathered surfaces. Its substantial two-ounce weight, limited production, and numbered presentation chest give the release appeal beyond its silver content. Only 999 Batavia collector chests will be produced, with each chest containing one sealed tube of 10 rounds. This product is sold only in complete tubes of 10 rounds, totaling 20 troy ounces of silver. Individual rounds are not available for purchase. Each sealed tube is presented inside a numbered collector chest featuring a shipwreck-inspired design and branded Elemetal seal. Tube has been opened to inspect contents and ensure proper quality and count. Handled with white glove only.
