Riolu looking like it’s got somewhere to be 🥊💨 This Simplified Chinese Riolu 001/011 gives the little Fighting-type the full spotlight, charging straight through a forest with that determined expression Riolu does so well. The artwork by Kouki Saitou is particularly nice here. Riolu is sharp and vibrant against a much more natural, almost photographic-looking woodland backdrop. The warm light cutting through the trees adds some beautiful colour across the card, while the full-art composition makes the scene feel much bigger than a standard Riolu card. Simple concept, but a really striking execution — especially for Riolu and Lucario collectors looking for something a little different from the Japanese and English releases.
