Mawile 246/217 is a brilliant Illustration Rare from Ascended Heroes, showing Mawile wandering through a beautifully detailed old-town setting. The artwork by sowsow has that almost storybook quality to it — warm stone buildings, plants tucked into the alleyways and loads of little details throughout the scene. Then you’ve got Mawile casually floating through the middle while those enormous jaws dominate the upper half of the artwork. It’s one of those cards where the more you look at the background, the more you notice. A really distinctive take on a Pokémon that doesn't get nearly as much attention as some others. A lovely binder piece for Mawile fans, Illustration Rare collectors or anyone building out the Ascended Heroes set.
