Beautiful 253-260 Roman Empire - BI Double-Denarius graded by NGC in VF - This coin is presented in a story box holder. It is amazing to find a coin almost 1800 years old in Very Fine condition. Emperor Valerian was the first Roman Emperor to be taken captive during battle. He was captured in June 260 and died in captivity. While he was Emperor, the Roman Government would plate bronze pieces with a silver wash to pass as regular issues.
