Striking early vintage plastic floral brooch with vivid cobalt/turquoise blue flowers, bright yellow centers and sweeping green leaves. The exaggerated dimensional bouquet has a wonderfully theatrical Art Deco/Machine Age look—almost like a tiny piece of surreal botanical sculpture. Early plastic elements are mounted on a dark metal framework with an elongated pin back. Fantastic saturated color and unusual dimensional construction. Exact plastic composition and maker unknown; not represented as Bakelite or Celluloid unless independently tested. Visible age, patina, finish/enamel wear and discoloration add to its wonderfully timeworn character. Please examine photos closely for condition and construction.
