Wonderful antique Spanish-English dictionary published in 1900, now over 125 years old. Seoane’s Neuman & Baretti’s Spanish Dictionary, abridged by Velazquez, was published in New York by D. Appleton and Company and contains both Spanish-to-English and English-to-Spanish sections. The handsome dark blue binding features an ornate gilt-lettered spine with decorative period detailing, while the naturally aged pages give the book beautiful old-library character. The interior remains wonderfully displayable with densely printed double-column dictionary pages. Age-related wear is present throughout, including rubbing and wear to the binding and spine, consistent with a book of this age and adding to its authentic antique appearance. A fantastic decorative book for a primitive shelf, library stack, study, office or collected vintage vignette—and a genuine usable piece of language history dated 1900.
