Product Details

Small chip on salt as seen Charming vintage Japanese ceramic spice jar set featuring six individual jars housed in their original fitted wooden wall rack. Dating approximately to the 1950s–60s, the rack retains its original “JAPAN” label on the reverse. Included are Nutmeg, Ginger, Spice, Pepper, Salt and Clove, each decorated with colorful raised fruit, berries, branches and leaves against a creamy white crackle-glazed ground. The hand-painted details give each jar wonderful personality and that perfect mid-century cottage kitchen charm. The wooden holder features individual fitted compartments, a sweet scalloped top and two openings for wall hanging, while also displaying beautifully on a counter or shelf. A wonderfully decorative and increasingly hard-to-find complete set for a vintage kitchen, cottage, farmhouse or spice collection. Vintage condition with crazing, small marks and expected age-related wear as shown. All six jars and original Japan-marked rack included.
