🎀Pre-Bids Welcome🎀 Wonderful piece of authentic WWII-era American home-front history! This vintage Army-Navy “E” Production Award pin dates to the World War II era, circa 1942–1945, when the Army-Navy “E” Award recognized companies and workers for excellence in wartime production. The design features a raised “E” surrounded by a dimensional laurel wreath, flanked by patriotic red, white and blue enameled ribbon bars. The reverse is marked “ARMY NAVY PRODUCTION AWARD” and “STERLING.” The sterling silver shows extensive surface wear, oxidation and dark patina from age. I have intentionally chosen not to clean or polish this piece, as collectors of vintage military and wartime memorabilia often value the original aged patina. The red, white and blue enamel remains in amazing vintage condition, providing a beautiful contrast against the deeply aged sterling.
