Originally copyrighted in 1956 by arrangement with Thomas Y. Crowell Company, this book features Scholastic catalog number TW 759 with a 60¢ original cover price. The medieval-themed front cover features a striking mid-century illustration of a young boy, Shan, holding up a heavy sword with a castle on a rocky cliff in the background. The back cover details an exciting synopsis set in the days of King Arthur an illustration of a knight in blue crest gear riding a caparisoned horse. This copy is in highly collectible condition.
