Early 19th-century Staffordshire pearlware figure featuring a recumbent spotted deer beneath molded floral bocage, set on a green base with cobalt-blue scroll decoration. Likely dates to approximately c.1815–1830. The naïve modeling, painted spotted coat, floral bocage, and molded pearlware base are characteristic of early Staffordshire animal figures from this period. Condition: Displays beautifully but has significant losses and damage to the bocage/tree elements, including broken leaves and branches, as shown in photos. Additional age-related glaze wear, small chips, firing irregularities, and surface wear are present. Please review all photos carefully.
